For Volunteers

As a “volunteer-driven” endeavor, we offer opportunities to make a profound impact on the lives of our community’s children in many ways. We’re confident that you will find one that is convenient and appropriate for you.

Our active learning times are through the summer months, but our staff and advisors are busy all 12 months of the year planning events in which you can be involved. Would you like to distribute books to families and schools? Be a chaperone during the Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Service “Day-On”? Help out as a volunteer throughout the active weeks of the summer program? Maybe fundraising is your area of expertise?

First step is to fill-out the Adult or the Student Volunteer Form and submit it to us. (All program volunteers 18 years old and older will be subject to a background check).

Perhaps you have a particular talent or training you would like to share with our program. Simply let us know and we will see if we can incorporate it in our plans. Share a profession, organize a fundraiser, serve on our board, lead a seminar in a particular area, or teach a class in the sciences or arts…THE SKY’S THE LIMIT.
